In addition to the grand prizes I'm giving away an ebook of MILF & Cookies and a Christmas ornament for your tree next year to two lucky winners.
Facing Your Fears in 2013
I have a reason for this fear, but even so I realize it's irrational. My father died on Friday the thirteenth and my parents had been married thirteen years and he was only thirty one (reverse it and you find yet another thirteen).
So what to do? I have big plans for this year, and I can't let a number get in the way. I thought, confessed my fear to a couple friends and then the answer came to me. If I did the numerology on 2013 what would it turn out to be? 2+0+1+3=6 Wow! Six isn't scary at all. Six is a nice solid even-keeled number. Six is the most harmonious number and loving and caring. It's all about healing, protecting and nurturing. Now I can relax and do what I need to do, finish my novels and take care of my loved ones.
What are your fears? How do you plan to face them in 2013? Comment below for a chance to win.

“Dammit, I can celebrate alone if I have to.” She untwisted the wire basket and pressed her thumbs against the cork. Pop! It flew to the ceiling, ricocheted and bounced back to lie next to the glass. She poured the effervescent, cold liquid into the glass and raised it.
“Here’s to me, and what I want, whatever that is.” She drained the glass in one long swallow.
Lying back on the couch, she watched the light from the candles flicker against the ceiling. Light and bubbles coalesced into a shape, a spirit.
“I am a Spirit of Giving and Receiving," the Spirit said. "I have come from the bottle which imprisoned me, to grant you a holiday wish. You seek clarity of vision and my gift to you is to allow you to see from a different perspective what you have hidden within, what your future might hold.”
The room shifted and changed. A huge fire burned in a hearth, but she didn’t have a fireplace. The voice of the Spirit returned. “Relax. Choose to accept.”
Tapestries lined the stone walls and heavy wooden table and chairs set off to the side of the expansive room. Footsteps approached. When she stood the weight of a long dress almost pulled her back to the chair. She brushed her hand against the velvet, wine-colored skirt.
A tall man entered, dressed in chain mail with a large sword at his side.
